Card of Thanks
It has taken us some time to write this thank you because it is hard to put into words our feelings of gratitude to all who have given so much of themselves to us at this time. It is our faith, family, friends and community that keeps us together in this time of our deep sorrow. We want you to know how important your many gestures - prayers, visits, hugs, phone calls, food, flowers, mass cards, cards, donations to charities and e-mails - were to us. Everything came when we needed it most, and strengthened us. Thank you.
Special thanks to: Father Jan, Father Lawrence, and the communion ministers who prayed with us at the hospital; Father Jan for your sensitive and meaningful homily at prayers and at mass; Melanie Pellerin and Lani Burry for giving your gift of music; Garry and Cèline for honoring us with the readings; the grandchildren who gave intercession petitions, were gift bearers and pallbearers - you did Grandpa Roland proud; Michael, Michelle and Robert, Dad is proud of you; Lanna and Ed, thank you for walking with us all the way wherever needed.
Heartfelt thanks to our Exhibition friends for your tremendous support and wonderful food at the luncheon. Your special touch was much appreciated.
Many, many thanks to Lions' friends who were always there for us. Thanks to the MS Society for your kind recognition. To the doctors, nurses and other hospital staff on the third floor, thank you for your caring, kindness and compassion towards Roland and all of us. Thanks also to Home Care and ambulance attendants from both Lloydminster and Marshall's.
We are so grateful to McCaw Funeral Service, Glenn and Dave, your tremendous compassion and professionalism shown to our family is helping us through this difficult time.
Finally, we express our sincere appreciation to all who attended the celebration of Roland's life. Your sharing of our sorrow helped make it a memorable goodbye. We will miss him forever.
In lieu of individual thank you's, a donation will be made to charity.
Thank you and God Bless.
Rose Brassard and Family
