FRAZEYSBURG -- Richard M. Starner II, 40, of Nashport, died Saturday afternoon, June 14, 2008, at his home.
He was born Sept. 15, 1967, in Newark, to the late Richard M. Starner and surviving Joyce L. King Starner of Nashport. Richard was a graduate of Sheridan and COTC and was a member of White Chapel United Methodist Church and was an Eagle Scout. He was an accountant and worked for Holophane Company, Inc. of Newark. He also owned and operated Bear Valley Christmas Store and traveled the craft circuit displaying and selling his crafts of Christmas products.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two brothers, Brian (Renea) Starner of Hopewell, and Cody Starner of Nashport; one sister, Janie Starner of Nashport; a "special sister," Becky (Carl) Morrow of Sevierville, Tenn.; a niece and nephew, Briar and M'ber Starner; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and his very special friend, his dog, Lizzy.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie Starner; and a niece, M'Kenzi Starner.
Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. today, June 16, at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 W. Third St.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at the White Chapel United Methodist Church, White Chapel Road, Newark. Burial will be in Hanover Cemetery.
