Funeral Services for Lisa Claymore,47, of Wolf Point, MT and formerly Wakpala, SD, was held Tuesday, Oct. 5th at 10:00 am at St. Bede's Catholic Church in Wakpala with Father Basil Atwell, OSB, officiating.
Burial followed at St. Bede's Catholic Cemetery, Wakpala. Casket bearers were Richard Claymore, Jr., Todney Leingang, George Leingang, Jason Claymore, Marcus Red Thunder and Amiel Spotted Horse. Visitation was on Monday from 5pm to 7pm with a Rosary service at 7pm at Stout Family Funeral Home, Mobridge, SD. Lisa entered the Spirit World on September 28, 2010 in Billings, MT.
Lisa Marie Claymore was born September 11, 1963 in McLaughlin, SD to Richard Claymore and Alma LaFramboise. She grew up and attended schools in Wakpala, South Dakota and Fort Yates, North Dakota.
Lisa lived on the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation, in Mandan, North Dakota and most recently in Wolf Point, Montana. She enjoyed being a homemaker and mother to her children, Jason, Latoya, Marcus and Yolanda.
She enjoyed making dreamcatchers and beading, but loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her companion of many years, James Dogg of Wolf Point, MT; her children, Jason Claymore of Sioux Falls, SD, Latoya Spotted Horse of Wolf Point, MT, Marcus Red Thunder of Poplar, MT and Yolanda Dogg of Wolf Point, MT; her siblings, Richard Claymore Jr. of Fort Yates, ND, Rodney Leingang of Solen, ND, George, Leingang of Cannonball, ND, Johnelle Leingang of Mandan, ND and Michelle Leingang of Fort Yates, ND; her step-father, John Leingang of Mandan, ND; her grandmother, Doris Soiseth of Fort Yates; grandchildren, Jazlyn Dalia Follet, Joshua David Martell, Jr., Aubrey Genevieve Stump and Tazan Frank DeMarrias and 1 great grandchild, Tylee Ann Leingang.
Lisa was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edward & Regina LaFramboise and Sidney Claymore; her parents, Richard Claymore Sr. & Alma Leingang and a daughter, Ashley Spotted Horse.
