Clifford R Turner, died April 11, 1999 at the Life Care Center in Idaho Falls at the age of 86. Clifford was born at the home of his parents Rawsel E. and Libby E Wolfley Turner in Turnerville June 25, 1912.
In 1931 he went on a mission to Texas. He married Ruth Mina Thurman on May 22, 1936 in the Salt Lake Temple. They are the parents of five children, Beverly, Allen Linda (deceased) Ruth Ellen and Carol. He was a farmer and operated his own sawmill. Clifford was an ambitious and hard working man. In 1941 at the age of 29 he was called to be the Turnerville branch president were he served for four years with a young family. He also held the office of one of the seven presidents of the seventies and was active in missionary work.
In 1957 he was ordained bishop of the Bedford Ward. On Oct 11 1981 he was ordained patriarch of the Thayne Wyoming Stake. He and his wife enjoyed serving in the Idaho Falls Temple and also enjoyed serving on 18 month mission from 1977-78.
He loved his family and was proud of their accomplishments. He had great a great love for The Church Of Jesus Christ and always tried to magnify his callings.
He is survived by his wife Ruth; children, Beverly Kimball of Grace Idaho, Allen Turner of Laramie, Ruth Ellen Wartchow of Idaho Falls, and Carol Stevens, of Bedford; 18 grandchildren and 33 great Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death, by his daughter Linda, two grandchildren his parents, one brother and five sisters.
