MRS SCHWEARER
Passed Away This Morning at Age of Ninty-Two

Mrs Elizabeth Schwearer relict of the late George Schwearer died suddenly this morning at her home in Liberty township near Liberty Corners at the age of ninety-two years. Mrs. Schwearer was taken ill Tuesday afternoon and sank rapidly until this morning at 6:30 when death closed her eyes in everlasting slumber. Funeral services will be held on Friday morning at 10 o'clock short services being held at the house followed by services at the Dapper church. Rev. Theo F Eich of Sulphur Springs and the Rev. Hess of Crestline will officiate and interment will be made in the cemetery near the church. Mrs. Schwearer was a native of Germany but had been living in this country since her nineteenth year. Her maiden name was Elizabeth Heldman and she was born on June 19 1813 in Wertemberg, Germany She was married in 1832 in the old country to George Schwearer and immdiately after their wedding, Mr. and Mrs. Schwearer started for the United States to make their home.

They first located in Cumberland County, Pa., and resided there for a number of years, going from there to near Mansfield, O. where they resided for several years. They moved from Richland County to Leesville and lived in that vicinity for about 10 years before taking up their residence in Liberty township. Mr. Schwearer died twelve years ago at the age of eighty-two and his widow continued to make her home in Liberty township until her death.

Deceased leaves one sister Mrs. Barbara Hellman, who is the only surviving member of her father's family. Mrs. Hellman and Mrs. Schwearer made their home with Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Cole. Mr. Cole is the grandson of Mr. Schwearer.

Mrs. Schwearer leaves the following children: Mrs. Adam Gettman and Mrs. Peter Bessinger of Bucyrus; Mrs. Margaret Class of Upper Sandusky; Mrs. Jacob Brown of Liberty township; John Schwearer of Crestline and Jacob Schwearer of Vernon township. There are a number of grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Deceased was an excellent German lady and was a lifelong member of the German Lutheran Church. She was very highly esteemed in her community in which she lived for so many years and though she was granted a longer lease on life than is given most people, yet her death will cause sorrow among those who knew her best and valued her for her fine qualities. She brought up a family of useful children and her life work on earth was performed in a manner which will meet with its just reward in the fair world to which she had been taken.
