On 25 Apr 1927, William was admitted to Los Angeles County Farm. The Los Angeles County Farm was established in 1888, as "a place where the destitute, homeless, aged, infirm, and disabled of the county could find shelter, food, and solace." After his death he was cremated at the LA Crematory and his ashes were return to LA County General Hospital. Where they were shipped from there or who picked them up is unknown.
