Johann Dietrich " Dick" Gerhard Engelbart
From the "Lincoln Star", 22 January 1935:

Mr. Engelbart as born in Rastede, Germany,
26 Dec 1852. He came to the United States at the age of 30, and before coming to Nebraska in 1900 had lived in Illinois and Arkansas. He was a tailor by trade and until his retirement from business in 1925 operated a clothing store and tailor shop at Hallam. He was a member of the Congregational church.

He is survived by three sons, Fred of Ft. Worth, Tex., John of Princeton, Neb., and Frank of Martel; six daughters, Mrs. Lucille Kellim of San Francisco, Cal., Mrs. William Albers and Mrs. Ben Boeke, both of Lincoln, Mrs. Anna Wiebe of Omaha, Mrs. Charles Potts of Cortland and Mrs. Harry Haas of Hallam; 20 grandchildren and 3 great grand-children.
