WINCHESTER - Ardonna V. Flanagan, 94, of Winchester, passed away October 6, 2010 at St. Vincent Randolph Hospital in Winchester, Indiana.
She was born February 22, 1916 in Randolph County, the daughter of William E. Keister and Elda Pearl (Benson) Keister. Ardonna lived in Winchester and Randolph County all her life and attended McKinley High School. She was first married to Kenneth Ozbun and lived in Bloomingsport prior to moving to Winchester in 1937.
She was a homekeeper, and in 1954, she operated Donna's Beauty Shop on Washington Street in Winchester. She married and enjoyed her later years with George Flanagan. She was a member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Russell E. (Jerrillynn) Ozbun of Winchester; daughter-in-law, Nancy (Ozbun) Jackson of Richmond; two grandsons, Brian and Jason Ozbun of Winchester; two step grandchildren, Andrew Thornburg of Richmond and Amiee (Joe) Ellis Millersburg; several great grendchildren and one great-great granddaughter; nieces, Janet (Bill) Baker of Shelbyville; Phyllis Turner (Mabel Garst) of Eaton, OH; Carolyn Kempe of Kokomo; Alice Ann Fouse of Parker City; Kate Pegg and Norma (Ralph) Harris of Winchester; Nephews Gerald (Patsy) Stephen of Winchester; Bill (Paula) Keister of Farmland; Robert Keister (Roland) Ypsilanti, MI and David (Mona) Keister of Toccoa, GA.
Ardonna was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Kenneth Ozbun and George Flanagan; son, James Myron Ozbun; daughter, Shirley Kay Ozbun; sisters, Elizabeth Stephen; Bertha Turner; Mabel Keister and brothers, Ralph Keister; Basil Keister; Russell Keister and Robert Keister.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 11, 2010 at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester with Pastor Esther Kershaw officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Winchester.
Friends and family may call from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at the Walker Funeral Home and one hour before services on Monday.
Memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Methodist Church with envelopes available at the funeral home.
