M. A. Godfrey died at his home on Franklin Street Saturday after an illness of several years.
Funeral services were held at the home Monday afternoon.
The deceased was foreman in the só? Department of the Martinsville Cotton Mill.
Surviving are the widow, formerly Miss Annie Gravely, three children, Mrs. Daisy Long of Fountain Inn, S. C., Olen Godfrey, Greenville, S. C., and J. O. Godfrey, Danville, Va.
