MARTHA E. HALLEY DIES
Miss Martha (Mattie) E. Halley, 80, died early Sunday morning at her home, Girard R.R. 1. She had been a resident of this county for 65 years.
Miss. Halley was born June 11, 1866, in Tipton County, Indiana, and came to Crawford County in 1881. She had lived here since that time.
For several years she was employed as a school teacher in the rural communities in the county.
Survivors include a sister, Miss Mary C. Halley of the home and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Kirk Patrick chapel here. Rev. Mark Smith officiating. Interment was in the Girard cemetery.
