Survivor of the Charge of the Light Brigade.

Private in the 8th Hussars.
Promoted to Corporal in 1855 and Sergeant in later that year.
Discharged in 1865, because he was suffering from Secondary Syphilis.
He appeared in many reunion and dinners with fellow survivors of the Charge.
Charge Macaulay passed away in 1905.
