Robert R. McClure was born in 1886. He was they husband of Mary E. Newton, the daughter of John Lewis Newton and Elizabeth "Betty" Downs, who was born on September 1, 1891. They were married on March 5, 1911 in Grayson County, Kentucky. He died in Grayson County, Kentucky at the age of 61 on May 11, 1948. He was buried as R. R. McClure in the McClure Cemetery on Highway #259 south of Leitchfield, Grayson County, Kentucky and past Laudit. The dates on his stone are given as 1886 - 1948.
