She was a 1965 Graduate of Calhoun High School, received both her Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Western Kentucky University and received further education from Vanderbilt University. Janette was a teacher for more than 20 years in both McLean and Daviess Counties and retired as Uni-Serve Director for K.E.A. after 21 years of service. She was a member of the Calhoun United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Kelly Tichenor; a grandson, Christopher Tindall; a sister, Ann Lee McAllister; and two nephews, Cary McAllister and Ian McAllister.
Visitation is 2 p.m. to service time.
Services are 6 p.m. Tuesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel.
