Newton Pritchett, 82, died Thursday afternoon at his home in Cottondale following an illness that lasted two weeks. Funeral services were to be held at 3 o'clock this afternoon from the Christian Church in Cottondale followed by internment in Hopewell Cemetery by Jones & Spigener.
Mr. Pritchett made his home in Cottondale for the past 64 years and was widely known in that section of the county. He leaves a host of friends and relatives to mourn his passing.
Surviving are his widow, Martha Pritchett; three daughters, Mrs. Robert Herron and Mrs. Sid Jennings of Cottondale and Mrs. H. D. Ward of Alberta City; four sons, S. S., W. V., and W. T. of Cottondale and D. S. Pritchett of Holt. He is also survived by three sisters.
