Death: Aug. 26, 1895
Floyd
West Carroll Parish
Louisiana, USA

aged 45 yrs

Dr. John Gaddis and Peace Madison Gaddis were brothers and when Marian (Lloyd) Gaddis their Mother died, Dr. John was living in Floyd, La. and asked Peace to move to Floyd and live with him. Peace, 19 years old, moved there and went to work for Willie Ann (Bradley's) 2nd husband who had a store in Floyd, La. The 2nd husband (name unknown) became sick and had to go to New Orleans for surgery and died on the operating table. Willie Ann knew nothing about operating the business so she hired Peace to stay on and run the store, since she had a full time job taking care of a big hotel. After a year Willie Ann and Peace got married, and Dr. John moved his family to Silver City, New Mexico.
