Genevive Seymour of Whiteriver went home to be with the Lord May 31, 2007, in Tempe.

She was born Aug. 26, 1942, in Fort Apache.

Genevive is survived by her husband, Amyx Seymour; sons Howard Velasquez and Shane Lee; daughters Jan Velazquez and Amy Dietze; daughter-in-law Carol Velasquez; son-in-law Robert Dietze; grandsons Leon Tommie, Christian Dietze, Ethan Dietze and Tristin Narcisco; granddaughters Noel, Keyana, Araya, Cheynll, Jalen and Riscillia; great-grandsons Shaun Tommie and Uriah Tommie; aunt Lillian Sanchez; brothers Breezy Johnson Sr. and Sylvester Johnson; sisters Jeanette Massey and Avora Keys; nieces Marilyn, Rebecca, Annette and Anna, Marsha; nephews Troy, Evert, Emie, Homer, Breezy Jr, Bobby, Burkel and Randy; and many cousins, relatives and friends.

A one-night wake will start Friday, June 8, starting at 10 a.m. at her residence in Canyon Day. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 9, at 10 a.m. at the Canyon Day Miracle Church in Canyon Day, with Bishop Leroy Tate officiating. Interment will be at Canyon Day Cemetery.
