George married Isabel Madden on July 9, 1955 in Glasgow Scotland. George and Isabel immigrated to the United Stats shortly thereafter and settled in Hermosa Beach California. Although he died in California, most of his ashes were dispersed in Loch Lomond Scotland. It was a place where he spent a lot of time during his youth. He loved it there and was an appropriate place to scatter his ashes although some remained with his family in the United States.
George is missed greatly by his entire family, in the US as well as Scotland.
George left behind his wife Isabel, two loving daughters, Janis Ann Currie-Weaver and Kimberly Lane Currie-Ritchie as well as five grandchildren; Sarah Ann Weaver, Hayden Richard Weaver, Currie Thomas Ritchie, Sophia Rose Ritchie and Hudson Ritchie.
