Services for former Coos County resident Robert Jerry "Pete" Ward, 41, Cottage Grove, will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, at Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel in Cottage Grove.
The Rev. Eugene Kishen will officiate. Grave side services will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, at Catching Creek Cemetery near Myrtle point.
Mr. Ward was born March 15, 1944, Myrtle Point and died November 19, 1985 in Eugene, Orergon.
He was raised in Coos County, and graduated from high school in Cottage Grove. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force, and worked for Weyehaeuser Co., for 22 years.
Survivors include his wife, Karen(Roby); daughter, Brenda; sons, Robert and Joseph all of Cottage Grove; son Tyson Peter Ward of Cottage Grove; daughter, Jami Lynn Cooper of Cottage Grove; parents, Ray and Naomi Ward of Cottage Grove; sisters, Sharon Parrish of North Bend and Cynthia Hargis of Coos Bay; grandfather, Carl Ward of Cottage Grove.
