Herbert Riley, a 41 year old school bus driver, fell dead of a heart attack on December 11, 1951, after summoning aid for his snow bound bus. Mr. Riley died near the home of Felipe Torres, where he stopped to get help to move the stalled vehicle out of deep snow.
On the bus was one student. Mr. Riley had driven from the Ewing District to Estancia for several years. Peace Justice C M Milboum said Riley apparently became exhausted.
He leaves his widow and six children, including a four day old infant.
