Wayne was born January 6, 1930, in Biardstown, to the late Robert Miles White and Laura Belle Bills White. He received his early education in Lamar County public schools.

Wayne served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was very proud of his service to his country. Shortly after his discharge from the Service, he relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico. He thereafter married his beloved wife, Estella Williams. Three children were born to this union.

He soon became employed at the Mountain Bell Telephone Company during which time he worked his way up from a janitorial position to a supervisory position in the field office. He retired after more than 30 years of employment with the telephone company.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his beloved wife, Estella, one son, Wayne Jr., and three sisters, Oletha White Williams, Thelma White McCann and Mary Jo White.

Survivors include three sons, Rory Gene White of Oregon, George White of Albuquerque, NM, and Victor White of Wellington, TX; two daughters, Peggy Littlefield of Fresno, CA and Sharon Broussard of Albuquerque, NM; two brothers, James Ivery White of Paris, TX and John Robert White of Albuquerque, NM; four sisters, Ruby White of Wellington, TX, Arnita Venson of Amarillo, TX, Geneva Wallace of Paris, TX, and Maggie Mae White Brown of Wellington, TX; several grandchildren, and a host of many other relatives and friends.
