He was united in marriage to Helen Fissel, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his brother, James Fissel, and his wife, Minnie, of Virginia Beach, VA; one nephew, Kenneth Fissel of Chesapeake, VA; and several cousins.
He was a retired machinist for Air-A-Plane Corporation.
Services were held Wednesday, January 4, 1995 at the Myrtle Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Epperson officiating.
Pallbearers were Cliff Young, Noel McFann, Hutch McFann, and John Fissel.
