Statesboro, Ga. - Mrs. Rose L. Futch Torstenson, age 76, died on Thursday, September 23, 2010, at her residence under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. The native and lifelong resident of Bulloch County worked in home health services for many years. She loved helping others, fishing and was an avid gardener. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry T. and Flossie G. Futch.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Hubert and Helen Mitchell of Statesboro; a daughter, Sylvia Scott of Statesboro; a brother, C.L. Futch of Nevils; nine grandchildren, Stephen Foucha, Sheree Foucha, Lori Mitchell, Hubert Moser, Brandon Moser, Daniel Mitchell, Virginia Minerly, Judith Minerly, Rebecca Minerly; 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Harville Baptist Church with the Rev. Patrick McElveen officiating.
The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Hubert Moser, Brandon Moser, Randy Morris, Wendell Morris, Lee Futch, Gary Futch and Stevie Morris.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Ogeechee Area Hospice, P.O. Box 531, Statesboro, GA 30459.

Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
