Norraine F. Boeder
BAXTER - Norraine F. Boeder, age 96, resident of Excelsior Place in Baxter, died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, at St. Joseph's Medical Center. Norraine Florence Mathison was born Jan. 15, 1912, at home in Artichoke, Big Stone County, Minn., to Adolph and Rekarda (Robertson) Mathison. She married Harry Boeder Sept. 24, 1933. They settled in Brainerd and made their home there for many years until moving to Lake Shore for approximately 10 years before moving back to Brainerd.
She was an active and involved member of Zion Lutheran Church in Brainerd for many years and later at Lutheran Church of the Cross in Nisswa. Norraine was a homemaker and worked as a bookkeeper for her husband, Harry.
Survivors include her son, John (Mary) Boeder; daughter, Joan (Daniel) Zielske; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one sister, Florella Workman; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; two sisters; three brothers; and one grandson.
The family wishes to thank all of the caregivers at Excelsior Place.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6, 2008, at the Lutheran Church of the Cross in Nisswa with the Rev. Bruce Hannem officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd. Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Sunday at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd and the hour before services Monday at the church.
Memorials are preferred.
