| Birth: | unknown | | Death: | unknown |  Located on the Guildford Castle grounds, the memorial was erected in honor of all whom served in World Wars I and II. The memorial has four large panels, the outer pillars contains 440 names of those local people who gave their lives in World War I. A central pillar was added to the memorial and dedicated to World War I veterans, in 1921. In 1952, four smaller panels with 202 names was added of those locals who gave their lives in World War II. The monument is also the site of the annual Remembrance and Guildford Armistice Day parade. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
