Cecil C. Sneed, 60, 206 W. Walnut St.;died Wednesday at the Brown Hospital at the Veterans Administration Center in Dayton.
He was born Sept.3, 1927, in Brookside, Ky., son of William J. and Elizabeth Payne Sneed. on June 1, 1963 he married the former Pat Morran.
She survives with three sons, Clifford of Dayton,William of Van Wert, and David of Lima; two daughters, Mrs. James (Dawn)Carnes of Lima, and Mrs. Vernon (Darla)Ellis of Anna;16 grandchildren; four brothers, John of Rialto, Calif., Joe of Lancaster, Pa., Charles of Cleveland, and Dwain of Lake City, Tenn., and a sister, Bertha Tinell of Lake City, Tenn.
Mr. Sneed was a truck driver for Ellis Transportation of Anna. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War and was a life member of the Jackson Center Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3316.
Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Van Horn Funeral Home in Jackson Center, with the Rev. James Neighbors officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. The body will be cremated. Headstone is a Cenotaph. Ashes were scattered on the mountain where he lived in Campbell Co. Tennessee
