DOROTHY ELLEN MORNINGSTAR DIES THURSDAY
16-Year-Old High School Student Victim of Long Illness
Miss Dorothy Ellen Morningstar, aged 16, died at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Morningstar, in Jefferson township, Thursday morning at 9:10 o’clock. Death was caused by biliary jaundice. A post mortem, attended by several physicians, was conducted Thursday evening.
Miss Morningstar had been ailing for almost one year, and had been bedfast the past three weeks. She was a junior in the Jefferson high school, and did housework at the Harve Egly home in Berne the past summer.
The deceased was born in Monroe township, Oct. 6, 1921, a daughter of John and Effie Jane Teeter Morningstar. The parents survive, and the following brothers and sisters: Theodore, at home; Mrs. Marcus Schindler, Berne; Augusta, Virginia, Nyla, Virgil and Gerald, all at home. One nephew, Eugene Merlin Schindler survives.
One brother, Chester, preceded. Dorothy was baptized and joined the Maple Grove Church of Christ, March 14, 1933. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 1 o’clock at the home, and at 1:30 o’clock at the Maple Grove church.
