He migrated to the United States in 1925, reported himself as an actor and was naturalized in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California. He made his first US film debut in "Fine Matters" (1926), followed by "Sorrows of Satan" (1926). Cast most in roles as a handsome villain, his credits include "Bombshell" (1933), "Passport to Alcatraz" (1940), "Foreign Agent" (1942), "California Conquest" (1952) and "The World of the Worlds" (1953), which was his last movie.
