Burial in Livelyville Cemetery is under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home. She was born to William Duke and Mattie Ann Morehead Leamons January 11, 1918 in Grapeland, Texas. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She married Marvin Talmadge 'Red' Lively on July 23, 1938. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2000; her parents; brothers, Wallace, Arthur, J.D., A.C., E.T., and Howard; sisters, Willie Mae Stockbridge, Johnie Lee Marable, Gertrude Adams, and Marjorie Graham Gale. She is survived by daughters, Virginia Ann Higgon and husband George, and June Garst; grandsons, James Franklin Thompson, Christopher Wayne Hinman, and Douglas Anthony Landry; great grandchildren, Jamie, Chris, Lauren, and Tiffany Thompson, Amanda and Cassie Hinman, and Elizabeth Landry.
