RICHARD "DICK" O. HENNIG
Richard "Dick" O. Hennig, 81, of 305 St. Paul Avenue, died Sunday, July 18, 1999, in the Ohio Masonic Home.
He was born October 2, 1917, in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Richard and Ethel (Byers) Hennig.
Mr. Hennig served in the Army Air Corps, 43rd Bomber Group in Australia and New Guinea during World War II and was retired from the Robbins & Myers.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, St. Andrew's Lodge 619, Free and Accepted Masons, and American Legion Post 286 in New Carlisle.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jane (Robinson) Hennig; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sally Morgan, Sandra and David Stoltz, both of New Carlisle, and Robyn and Christopher Henry of Springfield; one son, William R. Hennig; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mildred Weller of Springfield, Janice and Dormas Plank of Okemos, Michigan, and Maxine and James Steed of Hamilton, Ohio; eight grandchildren; eight great-
grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Bill Weller.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday in the Richards, Raff and Dunbar Memorial Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the memorial home with Rev. Eugene Newell and Rev. Richard McDaniel officiating. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or the Ohio Masonic Home.
