Moneda Belleau, 76, 110 N. Bittersweet Lane, died Sunday in Ball Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Mt. Vernon, Ill., attended schools in that area and spent her early years there before coming to Muncie in 1930. She was a telephone operator with Indiana Bell Co. for several years and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She also was a member of Pi Chi Epsilon sorority.
Surviving are a daughter, Judy (Mrs. Howard) Schroeder, Muncie; a son, James G., Indianapolis; a stepson, Jack, Las Vegas, Nev.; five grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Belleau.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Meeks Mortuary with Rev. Dale Robison officiating. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Calling hours are 6-8 p.m. today and before services Tuesday in the mortuary.
