Frances "Fannie" May Allison Millar was born on December 10, 1863 in Dodge County, Nebraska. Her parents were Andrew Robert Allison (1840-1924) and Rachel Ann Dickerson Allison (1847-1865). Sadly, Fannie's mother passed away shortly after giving birth to her only brother, Ephriam, on October 25, 1865. Tragically, Ephriam died at the age of seven months.

Fannie was raised by her maternal grandparents, David Willis Dickerson (1810-1891) and Ann Jane Miller Dickerson (1812-1899). Her father, Andrew Allison, later remarried Mary Ann Van Fleet Parker and they had two sons, Andrew J. Allison (1870-1955) and Frank Wesley Allison (1872-1955). However, Fannie rarely saw her father after her mother's death and only met her younger half-brothers when they were adults.

In 1893, Fannie married George Auger Millar and they had three sons together - Harold Allison (1895-1970), John Willis Bennett (1898-1976), and Gilbert Alexander (1901-1968). All three of their sons served during WWI.

George passed away on November 20, 1940, and Fannie passed away on September 10, 1949.
