Frank was a jeweler. The couple came to California to live in Santa Barbara after homesteading land near Crawford, Nebraska. Frank moved to Easton to live with his brother Levi and sister-in-law, Martha, after Sarah died in 1923. His brother Levi married Sarah's sister, Martha Hall.
After his wife, Sarah died when they were living in Santa Barbara, Frank moved to Levi and Martha Lewis' house in Oleander,Fresno County, where he lived until he died. His niece, Marion Lewis, took care of him. Frank and Marion shared the same birthday on March 31. Lived in community 19 years, in CA for 25 years.

EASTON (Fresno Co.), Nov. 21. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock in the Jorgensen Funeral Home Chapel in Fowler for Frank J. Lewis, 91, who died last night in the home of a niece here after a long illness. Rev. Harold S. Wilson will officiate. Interment will be in the Santa Barbara Cemetery. Lewis was a native of New York. He is survived by six nieces and seven nephews, Marion Lewis, Mrs. R.A. Follansbee, Loran, Robert and Harold Lewis, all of Fresno; Harry Lewis of Alhambra, Frank Lewis, Mrs. L.H. Wheeler, Mrs. Charles Brown and Mrs. F.B. Thurber, all of New York and Mrs. H.A. Dumont of Washington D.C.
