Mary was the daughter of DANIEL and MARY (REDMAN) THWEATT. As the name indicates, the Thweatts were originally from Wales, her grandfather coming from that country to the American Colonies. His wife was a native of Ireland, and they met in this country, were they were married and settled in Maryland, but subsequently left it for Alabama.
