Lillian Albright Wood, 84, Florence, passed away Wednesday, Feb 5, 2003, at ECM Hospital. Lillian spent most of her life as a teacher, a wonderful wife and loving sister, mother, grandmother and the greatest of great-grandmothers. She enjoyed traveling, gospel music, spending time with her friends and family, teaching and entertaining children (her own and many others.)Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, James S. Wood.
Lillian is survived by her daughter, Kay Wood Eubanks, Mexico Beach, Fla.; and son, Barry Wood and wife, Kay, Florence, Ala.; grandchildren, Katherine Morris and husband, Scott, Rebecca Wood, Clay Eubanks, Staci Eubanks; and great-grandchildren, Taylor Morris, Payton Morris and Ragan Morris; sisters and brothers, Dean Moore and husband, Ben, Bobbie Masters and husband, Neil, Boyce Albright and Larry Albright and wife, Jeanette, all of Haleyville, Ala.; and her cat, Tilley. To know Lillian was to love her. She had a wealth of compassion, love, generosity, grace and kindness that she shared freely with all who knew her and will continue to share with her fellow angels. Her smile and warm spirit could bring you joy in an instant. The joy that filled her heart shall surely fill us all as we celebrate the life and legacy she has left behind. Lillian Wood, lovingly known as "Memomie," has the strength, radiance and heart of an angel. We are blessed to have had her here on Earth with us. Now, may the Lord lift you up and take you home. Our cup runneth over with all the joy you have brought our lives
