Mr. W.J. Neely, a well-known contractor of the city, died at his home on North Tryon street early yesterday morning after a long illness. Several years ago he suffered a stroke of paralysis and has since been in failing health. He is survived by his widow and a large family of children. The funeral took place from the residence yesterday afternoon, the service being conducted by Rev. A.R. Shaw, pastor of Tenth Avenue Presbyterian church. The interment was at Elmwood.
