Ralph Cornwell, 69 years old, a retired coal miner and clay worker, of 523 West Henrix Street, died at 5:20 o'clock Thursday morning at the Clay County Hospital. Last employed at the City Water Works pumping station, he had formerly served as engineer at the county heating plant.
Surviving are a son, Carl, with whom he made his home; a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Perkins of Brazil; a granddaughters, Mrs. Betty Fox of Staunton, and two great-grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Miller 7 Son Funeral Home where services will be conducted at 10 o'clock Saturday morning. The Rev. Marie Hunt will officiate and burial will be in Bee Ridge cemetery.
