First Baron Dunsany. Born the second son of Genet de Cusack and Christopher Plunket, 1st Baron Killeen. He held the office of Constable of Dublin Castle in 1435. He was created 1st Lord Dunsany about 1462. His first wife was Anne FitzGerald, with whom he had one son. They founded a line that remains one of the oldest extant titles in the Peerage of Ireland with 20 holders to date including the 18th Baron, a well-known poet and author.
