John was born Feb. 18, 1919 in Peru, Indiana to John W. and Nellie M. (Snyder) Hudson.
John served in the Army during WWII, he was married three times. Marrying his third wife, Shirley M. in Oct. 1952. They lived in Aurora, IL till his death in 1971.
Besides his wife he is survived by his daughters, Mary and Stephanie Hudson at home, Lois (Roger) Hoopes of Aurora and Marilyn (Jerry) Hudson of Peru,Indiana. His sons John Hudson at home, David (Arlene) Hudson, Sgt. Darrel Butler, Tom (Dolores)Nelson, and Ssgt. Gene (Muriel)Andrews. He also had one son Johann born in Germany while he was stationed there. Three sisters, Nellie Manry, Mary(Rupert)Thorpe and Eileen (Orville)Day. One brother William (Roslyn)Hudson, his grandchildren Dawn and Debbie Hudson, Asa and Dale Andrews, Ann and Janice Nelson,and Christopher Hudson, and many nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents John and Nellie (Snyder)Hudson, one sister Margaret Hudson, two brothers Joseph and Edmond Hudson, a daughter Marinell Hudson. By his grandparents Joseph and May Hudson and William and Mary Snyder.
John was a member of the VFW Post 7452 of Montgomery, IL.
He will be missed by family and friends.
Since my dad's passing he has 18 more grandchildren, one of them rest beside him. Almost 30 great-grandchildren and that number is still growing.
Outside of his family he had one passion, his 1958 white Corvette with a black rag top. I remember him picking me up from school or dropping us off in it. It was so.... cool. Picking my sister and I up from our local swimming pool in it. It seems he was always tinkering with it out in the garage.
