She was born on Tuesday, 31 August 1920 in Murphy, North Carolina and was the daughter of John Jasper Jordan and Arizona (Mann) Jordan.
Carrie retired as a nurse from St. Joseph's Hospital in Asheville after thirty years.
Mrs. Allen is survived by her daughter, Judith (Allen) Young and son, Marvin E. Allen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Jasper Jordan and Arizona (Mann) Jordan, husband, Ernest C. Allen, brothers, Ben Jordan and Willis Alvin Jordan, sisters, Pauline (Jordan) Haselden, Emma (Jordan) Campbell and Katherine (Jordan) Hill. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
