Three years later in 1888, the area suffered one of the worst blizzards of the century; it was the year their youngest child, Harry, died.
In 1900, twenty years later, Henry and Katie along with children Charles, Myrtle, and George are found on Ponca Reservation, Noble County, Oklahoma. Son William E."Bud" is found in Johnson Co., WY.
In 1910, they moved back to Nebraska and are living in Myrtle, Custer County, NE per the 1910 Census. Henry Clay Johnson is 63 head of house, married once, for 36yrs born in NY and parents both born in NY. He is doing general farming and owns the farm, free of mortgage. Kate is 54, married once for 36 yrs, and says she was born OH, her father born OH, and her mother born Ireland (later she gives Scotland).
In 1920, they are residing in Arcadia, Valley County, NE. Henry C. is 72 and Catherine is 63. Henry dies in 1926.
Ten years later, in 1930 Kate, a widow, is with her daughter, Myrtle and her husband Henry in Clarksburg, Yolo Co., CA. Kate is 74 and will die the next year in 1931, possibly in California. Her death listed in CA Death Index as Catherin Johnson.
