Mrs. Adelaide Black Nesmith of Alachua died Thursday at her home following a brief illness. She was 64.
Mrs. Nesmith was retired assistant Postmaster of Alachua and member of the Alachua Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lole McMillan, Alachua, Mrs. Natalye Coker, Alachua; two sons Leroy Nesmith, Alachua, Donald MacPherson, San Francisco, Calif. A brother, Furman Y. "Bubba" Smith, Alachua, and 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Nesmith, age 64 retired assistant Postmaster of Alachua, will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Saturday, December 1, 1973, at Graveside - West Hills Memorial Gardens (on the Farnsworth Road) with Dr. Richard T. Gillespie conducting the services. Burial will be at West Hills Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Nesmith who lived in Alachua died Thursday, November 29, 1973 at her residence. The Huggins-Copeland Funeral Home, 725 N.W. 23rd Avenue, Gainesville is in charge of arrangements.
