William C. Marvin left Nettie on March 10, 18?? for "no reason" leaving her with 6 children to raise (Only 5 children were named in the Civil War Pension file) and went to Michigan where he died. William married a second time on 1/14/1884 to Arminda M. Wiltse Phillps but was never divorced from Nettie Hotchkiss. Arminda was first married to Charles W. Phillips who died on May 6, 1881.
