(Originally Steinbrecher)
Adam, as he is known, was a soldier in the German Regiment in the Revoluntionary War from August 1776 to August 1779. He settled near Hagerstown, Washington County, MD in 1774 or 1775. He returned there after his war service. In 1799 or 1800, he migrated to Huntingdon County, PA settling on Spruce Creek and built a mill at Colraine. He died in Franklin Township, Huntingdon County, PA November 1, 1827 and was buried in Colraine Cemetery along Spruce Creek. His funeral was conducted by Reverend Sold.
