"Hold that Tiger, Dad. I'll get those autographs for you."
Arrangements under the direction of Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, Wheat Ridge, CO.
Dad had been in the hospital in May and when he recovered I bought him tickets for the summer NHRA race in Denver. He was so excited that he scouted out the location and planned to be there before the gates opened! When I couldn't reach him the afternoon of the race or the next day, I called Denver police. Unfortunately, dad didn't make it to the races, but I'm glad I was able to make him so happy before he passed. Still, I wish he'd been able to attend one more race.
