MSgt. Thomas Ray Rodgers, 38, died Wednesday at Peterson Field Air Force Base in Colorado.

Born in Ninety Six, a son of the late Thomas S. and Nellie Butler Rodgers, he was a member of Cambridge United Methodist Church, a mason, and had served in the Air Force for 21 years.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Daisy Dukes Rodgers of Peterson Field; a son, Thomas James Rodgers of the home; a daughter, Miss Kimberly Kay Rodgers of the home; a sister, Mrs. Frenelle Pardue of Italy; a stepmother, Mrs. Vangeline Rodgers of Conway; a stepsister and several stepbrothers.

The body is being returned to Greenwood and arrangements will be announced by Blyth Funeral Home.

The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ottis W. Latham, 203 Melrose Terrace, Greenwood, and the home of Mr. and Mrs. Olin Garrett, 119 Duke St., Ninety Six.

A PERSONAL NOTE: Like Ray, I was career Air Force. I first met him and Daisy through his sister Nell Pardue in 1968 when we were all stationed in Germany. Great memories of good people. Ray now rests near his sister Nell.
