| Birth: | Sep. 8, 1900 Iola Allen County Kansas, USA | | Death: | Feb. 23, 1979 Bassett Allen County Kansas, USA | After Lloyd's sister, Flossie, gave my dad up for adoption he went looking for my Dad. Flossie told him he was in Humboldt. Lloyd wanted her to keep Daddy and he would help take care of her and the children, but she did it anyway. Uncle Lloyd was extremely upset. The topic was a source of many sore spots in our family for what she had done. Inez shared the story with her daughter Betty in later years. My dad's brother, Uncle Don Whitaker Parks, used to come and spend time in the summer at Uncle Lloyd's house and he and Betty Jean were playmates. They all enjoyed many fishing trips together and they all had vacation cabins on the lake's and river where they all would gather in their adult lives.
Thank you Uncle Lloyd for trying to save Daddy. I will be forever grateful for what you tried to do.
