Astronomer. Although he made his living as a citrus farmer in Escondido, California he had a private observatory there, El Amiga Observatorio. He built the telescope himself from a length of sheet-iron pipe and auto parts. Fascinated with the sky since he was child, he is credited with discovering several comets.
He also copyrighted the words and music to the musical composition "Wyoming My Home on the Plains" (March 3, 1938, 162696).
