Ray Oliver Wyatt was born Oct 31, 1899, in Nicholas County, Kentucky, to parents Lawson D. Wyatt (1870-1923), and Laura Belle Roberts (1874-1936), both born in Kentucky.
Ray was the oldest child in a family of five children. His brothers and sisters were: Elizabeth R. Wyatt (1901-), William N. Wyatt (1905-1941), James R. Wyatt (1914-), and Ethel M. Wyatt (1920-).
About 1924, Ray married Gertrude Robinson, born in Kentucky (1904-1973). Gertrude was a daughter of George W. Robinson (1866-1936), and Priscilla Thomas (1879-1950), both born in Kentucky.
Ray and Gertrude settled in Frankfort, Franklin, Kentucky, where Ray ran an antiques shop. The census records indicate that Ray was a veteran of World War I.
Ray and Gertrude had two children, a daughter Priscilla, and a son Ray Oliver Wyatt, Jr. (1929-2005).
Ray, Sr. died on Jun 12, 1937, in Fayette County, and was buried on Jun 14, 1937, in the Frankfort Cemetery.
