Funeral services for Virgil Jacobs, 70, of Blair, were held on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Interment was at the Herman Cemetery.
Mr. Jacobs died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2000, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. Virgil D. Jacobs was born Feb. 26, 1930, in Blair to Roy and Florence (Gilbert) Jacobs. He entered the Air Force in 1948, and served in Korea during the Korean War.
On Oct. 18, 1952 he married Helen Snyder of Tekamah at Eureka Springs, Ark.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, three grandchildren, two sisters and many nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three brothers, and three sisters.
