Rock Musician. He was the bass guitarist for the Southern rock band "Lynyrd Skynyrd". On stage and on record, their full-throttle boogie style was both explosive and surprisingly graceful as evident in the genre's landmark "Free Bird" and "Sweet Home Alabama".
